2 of Us Couples Championship on Palestine

The dates for the 2 of Us Couples Championship later this year will be on 10-12 (Friday), 10-13 (Saturday) & 10-14 (Sunday) on Lake Palestine (Please see the website for details and rules, link below). You can register on 10-12 (Friday) between 3 and 6 with a Pre-Tournament meeting at 6:00. The Banquet / Awards will be held on 10-13 (Saturday) at the Banquet Hall between 6:30 and 8:30. Sunday’s final day weigh in will be at 2:00. The headquarters and launch ramp will be out of Lake Palestine Resort (1-903-876-2253). Lake off limits will be from 10-12 (Friday) at 5:00 PM (You can pre-fish up to then) until official start time on Saturday morning. No guides after September 30th. This is a trailering event, but you MUST get your live well checked prior to fishing. Start time will be announced at Friday’s registration. If your partner can not fish, you may fish solo if you have qualified. Ladies big bass MUST be marked with a cull ring BEFORE coming to the scales, NO EXCEPTIONS.

Entry fee is 100.00 per couple and needs to be in by October 1 and if possible, let us know how many people will be attending the banquet.

Note: The Championship pays one place for every 4 entries. Payout for second place and beyond depends on the number of entries. Saturday’s and Sunday’s Ladies and Men’s big bass will pay 150.00 / each day. On Saturday, the smallest 5 fish limit will get 200.00. All monies are guaranteed regardless of the number of entries. We will also have a Random Draw Place overall for 100.00.

There will be a Calcutta that will begin right after the Friday night registration. Teams will be randomly drawn and then sold on a bid basis. Minimum bid will be at 20.00 and will rise on a 10.00 increments. No Checks. Calcutta payout is 100% of all monies received.

We are proud to announce that the City of Belton will be hosting the 2013 Championship and the tournament will be held on Lake Belton as well. More info on this tournament upcoming.

Be looking for early Bird Tournament to be announced soon, I know that the Central Region will be having one in October, date and lake to be announced soon. Note that to qualify\y for the Championship, you must fish in at least 5 season events out of the six or get 300 points. If you have never been to one of these, you are truly missing out of a ton of fun!
