In case you are looking for a really good time, we hit Tawakoni sunrise to 11 and wore out the hybrids and a few stripers up to 9lbs, loaded up to head to Cooper for the afternoon bite. The hybrids were loaded up on the humps mid lake. 3/4oz lead heads with sassy shad and money minnows were on fire. totaled about 75ish for the day and outy of those only about 3 magnum sandbass.  Everything there was between 4-8lbs.

Any Stripers?  I know there are still a few monsters out there.

Edited, sorry Weber missed the Striper part, I thought it was just hybrids.

How long do you think those fish will hang out on the humps? Usually go to Texoma for Stripers because I can catch them there. Never fished for the Hybrids on Twak before.

I think they will hang out where they are now  until Sept, or when we get a weather change. Joel the stripers were spotty, but there were several pulled in. We had some friends get into several in the 12-15lb range in one school but we were not able to find them with any consistancy.

You might get them early or late Jeromy, but the good bite is on the bottom right now. I think in a couple months when they are a bit better on top I would be all in for a fly excursion.

The best part was watching Weber swing in the 8 lbers. acting like it was a everyday thing.

It was a text book thing about the pressure though. Alot of boats fighting of the same space.

You and Johnny just need a little more practice with the big fish....time is on your side. You had them hooked up and could have just as easily done the swing...you were just nervous because you use them high dollar rods. how as the colorado thing. Post a big rainbow
