going down to Rockport with my family end of July. Does anyone have any recomendation's on guides for Redfish in that area? Thanks.

My recomendation would be to get up an extra hour early the day of the trip and drive to port o connor and fish with Keith Gregory out near the jetty's. That place is insane for redfish and Keith stays on em big time.361 220 1658. Been with him a dozen times in 3 years and have had one trip where we did not catch all the reds we could ever want. as guaranteed as it gets.

When are you going to be down there?

Ill be in Port A from the 21st to the 25th.  Im taking a guide out 1 day, and free fishing the rest of the time.

The guy I normally take out is Joe Gonzalez www.jcgoutfitters.com

He will put you on some monster trout and reds.  You might have a long boat ride, but hey, go where the fish are.

I'm with Behnken in this one, if you want monster reds go with Keith. Less then 15 minutes from
The dock to the fishing grounds and you'll catch some giant reds with possibly a bonus tarpon or jack. Can't beat it.
