Chris I am by no means any sort of expert in saltwater but from my expieriences you want a boat that will run shallow and has a excellent bait well. After that if it gets you there and back you golden. Looks like that boat has a hydraulic Jackplate so you should be good there. It's aluminum and should be easily cleaned after being in the saltwater.  If you fish with live bait put a oxygen system on the bait well. The livelier the bait the better.

It has a bait tank under the seat in front of the center console.  Dont know how good it works though.  They also make this boat in a tunnel hull that Im looking at.

Tunnel boats are nice in the flats but if you are in any chop they beat the tar out of you.  Have you ever fished the port oconner area?

Thats what Ive heard about t-hulls.  Thats why Im looking more at a hydro jack plate.

Never fished connor.  Mainly have stayed down around Aransas area since my father-in-law surfs all the time down there.

I was just telling Zach the other day how much I miss that smell of salt water!

I can only take the saltwater in limited amounts but it is fun. I prefer the offshore stuff and chasing the bull reds just because of the fight. Trout don't fight worth a damn but they do taste good.  I will eventually get myself a bay boat and it will be as basic as possible without a tunnel. It will have a kick ass bait well even if I have to build it myself and a power pole. Crazy not to have one of those bay fishing.

On 16.  If you leave Tilden towards Jordansten, we are only 2 miles outside of Tilden.  Our gate is on 16 on the Choke side.  If you look at an airial view of our lease.  The lower arm of Choke runs into our lease.

You should have big deer in that area. I've seen some giants from the lake.

My grandfather used to soak his hemmaroids in warm salty water so get a boat with a built in ass dipping seat and you'll be set. Ahh ha ha ah ha.

For fishing the coastal bays I would look at Majek Boats.
For trout fishing in Arkansas I would look at a good canoe, kayak or waders.

Why do you need a bait well on a boat, to catch reds or specks. All you need are Zara Spooks, Jointed Rapalas or Lucky Crafts, an assortment of soft jerk baits with lead heads and maybe a Johnson gold spoon with a red trailer.
