Put around 2,000 miles on the truck. Dallas to Lampasas on Friday for business, then on to Port Aransas where we battled the winds and managed some nice fish Saturday.

Fished with a college buddy and his dad who recently decided to start breeding labs, this litter is 8 weeks old. Cute little bastards, but that is a lot of crap to clean up!

Sunday I headed to San Antonio for business meetings in San Antonio and Boerne on Monday and Tuesday. Somehow I ended up sitting next to Spurs power foward Malik Rose at a high stakes poker game on Monday night . Won $600 and paid for all my trip expenses.

After my last meeting on Tuesday it was back to Corpus to fish on Wednesday with Captain Len. Caught a bunch of nice trout in the Upper Laguna Madre before heading to Baffin Bay in search of a monster. Caught 4 or few keepers off the rocks in Baffin before we had to hightail it all the way back to Corpus as we got caught in a thunderstorm. Rain pelting your face while running 45 mph. FUN!

Caught a break in the weather long enough to catch a few more at one of Len's honeyholes.

Me and Len

Cleaned fish, headed back to my buddy's place for a shower then hit the road. Stopped in Temple to pick up a cashiers check for a friend, then made a quick stop at my old stomping grounds:

Before heading on to Waxahachie to meet up with a fella and exchange the cashier's check for a Remington 1100. Shotgun in the backseat it was finally time to head home. Helluva a trip. Got to see alot of Texas. Good to be home though.

I have always wanted to try and wade fish just never seem to have the time. It looks like you had a great time and caught some good fish.
