Just like Derick to take all his vacation during the summer when Pool building is the busiest.

Looks like shrimp boils, and trout gumbo will be on the menu!

Talked to the guy I fish with last night, and looks like we will be running from Corpus all the way past
Baffin in the land cut, even further than we were last year.

I told him, we could drive 1/2 a day, as long as we smoke em when we get there!

I cant stand it.  i love fishing down there and only get to do it a few times a year.

We need to get a Lone Star Bass weekend somewhere at the coast each year.  Everyone meet up somewhere, do some fishing, drinking, cooking.  It would be a blast.

Sinkey who has the bay boats for that kind of deal? We are bass fisherman and have bass boats. I'm just lucky to have a few friends with bay boats or I wouldn't get to go.

Kernan when is your busy time? Your always on vacation.

Dude, Kernans middle name is Vacation!

I have a frat brother in Corpus that has one, but I mainly go out with Joe Gonzalez.  He is guide down there and is also on Skeeters state team.  Thats how I got hooked up with him before.

If I lived anywhere down there, I would not be a bass fisherman anymore.

My frat brothers name is Nino Gonzlez.  He fishes the IFA's Redfish Tour all over.  But his boat is pretty small, and only has a 90 hp. on it.

Hopefully Ill have some good pics Monday when I get back.

That's a long haul with a 90hp. You might be driving half a day.

Just got back.  Wind really hindered things down there the last few days.  Each days was blowing over 30.  Made Baffin look like Texoma on a windy day.

We did manage some good trout, no giants, but still some 18 to 22 in. fish.  Along with a bunch of flounder.  We didnt catch a single redfish though.  Kind of shocked me.

All in all fun though.
