I just got me a new Steez the other day.  Tried it out for the first time today.  Damn it is NICE!

I am considering selling all my 50mgs and swapping them out.  Gotta put some numbers to it.  Gonna be an expensive upgrade.

They are sweet for sure. But pricey.

Nothing wrong with those mg's. Save the money and use it for additional principle on your first house payment on Ray Hubbard.  Cheesy

Mike I strongly encourage you to switch to Steez.  Send me a PM  w/ a price on those MG's  Grin

MG's = take it out of the box and throw it a mile

Steez= Take it out of the box, jack it w/ it for 10 days trying to fine tune the Ferrari only to learn it is a fickle b? and wish you didnt sell the MG's to Crabby

Im not the biggest fan of the steez either.  Very touchy.  Have you tried out the new Shimano Core 50 yet??  Ive got 3 and they are pretty outta this world.

I agree on the Core and plan to get another one soon. I haven't used Diawa in years so I cannot compare.

My old man just overhauled one of my 50mgs.  Smooth and light.  Guess I will hold off for a while.

I love my steez..found it on eBay new for $100 off normal price and it throws great right out of the box...I use it mainly for jigs n trigs..Got it on a kistler rod, the combo is so light, i can get so much more accurate with this set up....

I have been loving it.  I used it on my shadalicious for a while.  My handle is a little loose now.  Need to tighten it up.  But it has been holding up to some punishment.

Try that new Core when you get a chance Mike.  I am warning you though, you will never go back.

How about this Mike.. Ive got about 5 of the new core 50mg's.  You want to borrow one for a few days so you can put that steez away?  I promise you... it'll happen.

Thomas,
Your throw aways are better than anything I own. I may need to start checking your garbage so I can up-grade. Grin

Ha.  As far as I can tell, your stuff works just fine if not better than mine!  I just have nice stuff to make up for my lack of ability.   Cool
