just places a very painless order for 10 reels worth of carbontex drag washers! www.smoothdrag.com . Very easy! Now I get to play "reel doctor" over the next couple weeks! I noticed my stock washers are "sticky" and have lost the smoothness they once had.. it cost me fish on my jig! I thought about doing the bearing upgrades, but DAMN those little jewels are expensive! I did find total ceramic 3x10x4 bearing with rubber seal(side seal) for $9 each Wink just too cheap to spring for em Wink

I have boca orange seals in all my reels... never messed with the drags, I typically dont catch fish so no need to worry with that. LOL

Ronnie, back the drag off after each day. You must remember to reset it before you set the hook the next day.

I like to put a little bit of Cals grease on the Carbontex drag washers for even better performance.

oh yes. cals grease is a staple in my box. its the only one I use on my reels. gears and washers. I use the MetOls high speed bearing oil from smooth drag as well.
