My skeeter came with a temp sensor installed.  I personally installed the LMS520 and did not have the correct hardware to attach the temp sensor until now.

Well, I hook everything up and not only does my temp sensor not work but my GPS module is not responding.  I found the 3A GPS power fuse blown to I removed all the plumbing for the temp sensor and the GPS worked again.  Thought that maybe I had the wrong terminator on (120 Ohm) so I replaced it with a 60 Ohm and tried connecting the temp sensor again but immediately popped the fuse.

Needless to say I have again removed all of the temp sensor plumbing and I am back to the way I was after replacing the fuse.  It dawned on me that possibly the 3A fuse is insufficient once I put the temp sensor on because in order to sense temperature there has to be a voltage sent down so the system can measure the drop across the thermistor.

Of course, it could be that there is a short in the adapters or the existing temp sensor but I was hoping to find out that I can just pop in a larger fuse and everything will be ok.

Any inputs would be greatly appreciated.

I would not put in a larger fuse. If you put in a larger fuse, you are taking the risk of a possible fire and or melting the wiring.
