Been having issues with the motor and want to start by changing out all the filters.

But I just got a quote of 300 bucks for the 3 main filters???  WTF??  Seriously?   Thats just the parts and not the labor.   Looking at saving that 90 bucks an hour if possible

Didn't quite see that one coming!!!!!

If you are willing to spend the time, look online.  You can always find aftermarket parts if you are willing to make that choice.  As much as engines cost these days, I would probably still stick with factory parts.

There are no aftermarket filters for this model, yet. It is ridicolous the price they sell for.

How often are these recommended to be changed?

Unfortunatley I would replace them yearly. One of the main powerhead failures for Yamaha were related to fuel restrictions IE: dirty fuel filters.
