I lot of you know Bob Cummings. He was recently put on the national lung transplant list and guess what, Saturday morning he received two new lungs!!!!!!!
He is recovering and still in ICU. They should try to wean him off of the respirators this afternoon.

Please pray for his speedy and full recovery. He may be able to throw those O2 bottles away.

That is great news!  I pray that God lays his hands on him and he is able to move forward in his life and take deep refreshing breaths of morning air on the lakes of his choosing!

Great news Tommy. Bob has always been a really nice guy to be around and put up with a lot of adversity to keep up with his passion of bass fishing. Can you give us his info where he is at so we can send him some well wishes.

Bob is out of ICU and in room 616 at St. Paul Hospital. He called me yesterday and sounds great. He is walking and possibly coming home on Tuesday. Amen!

Please to continue your prayers because he still has some work to do before getting back to 100%. Of course his new 100% will be actually be 1000% better than the old Bob!

Bob is home and doing quite well. He still needs our prayers to help him with his rehab and to help his body not to reject these precious organs!

Update on Bob. He is doing really well with the new lungs but has gained about 35 lbs. due to fluid retention. The doctors are trying to figure this one out. It apprently is nothing serious. Please keep him inyour prayers.

Bob is doing great. I appreciate all your prayers for Bob and his family.

The fluid retention is subsiding and he is able to drive now.

He still needs our prayers due to the possibilty of rejection of the new lungs.

Thanks

Well guys Bob has had a set back. He had to undergo another surgery to puts some stints in one of his new lungs, the passages were closing up. Might have been some sort of rejection. He is strong and trying to cope with this mentally.

Please pray that the good Lord with heal this man of God and that he finds the strength to be mentally strong during this period.

I want to give you guys a nice update. Bob has celebrated his one year anniversary for his double lung transplant. He was by here yesterday and through all of the ups and downs of the last year he finally reminds of the old Bob. Funny, joking, ready to go fishing and looking damn good. Still has to be carefull not to catch anyone elses cold but a lot better than a year ago!!

Bob is a perfect example of not taking life for granted.

Continued Prayers for Bob and his family. Glad to hear he's coming back with some of his good 'ol humor. He can be a riot.
