Betty Rome was diagnosed with breast cancer today.  She is one of the best women I have ever met in my life.  A truly great woman.

Mom and I, (that's what I call her), fished in a tournament at Ray Roberts a few years ago and placed second for a boat.  We got an over and barely missed.  The tourney was for charity and Mom thought we should give half of our winnings to the yound lady for the charity and I thought it was best too.

Please pray for her.

Betty is in good sprit. We have an appointment with a surgeon on Monday. I really appreciate the prays and I know my mom does too. I am going to take her to cedar creek on Saturday to get her mind off things.

just wanted to say thank you to Debra Hengst. She took time to call my mom yesterday and talk with her. That made her day that was all she could talk about. Thanks Debra for taking time out of your busy schedule to call. It really meant a lot to Betty.

we only caught one fish on saturday. water temp was 42


We go in for a CT scan tomorrow.

Update on Betty she went through successful surgery today. We are still waiting on the pathologist report said it would take up to 48 hrs. She is staying in the hospital for tonight hopefully will come home tomorrow if all goes well. Right now we are praying that she will not need radiation. She will be off of work for at least 6 weeks. Betty still has a long recovery ahead of her both physically and mentally. Thanks for all the prays and know she appreciates them.
