What "BRAND" of buzzbaits do you guys like? One better than the other or they all pretty much the same.

I don't have a favorite brand , yet . I don't throw them a lot .

I do have a few questions for guys who throw buzz baits a lot .

Do you prefer a clacker type bait over one that squeals ?

Or visa versa ?

Is there times when you think one out catches the other ? like does one work better during the shad spawn vs. the fall ?

lunker lure
reason being it will tune great or bend to run left or right to invade cover and go to the fish.  it also will have a good sound when it crashes into cover.
throw white with silver blades or black with black blades.
take some spike-it (chart) and color a few strands of the white skirt to  create a sexy shad hue.
whatever buzzbait you choose make sure to bang the cover and make multiple casts to the same spot if you think the fish is there
good luck

Hugo, I have seen where it mattered as far as a clacker or squeaker. That's why I like the boogerman because it will do both.  As far as one better for fall or spring; I have no idea.

lunker lure is my favorite. it's the only one I have confidence in. I will have to try the dip trip on a few strands to give it some color. the JJ's Magic will give it some scent, too Smiley

Love me some buzzbaits.  Lunkerlures are old school but I still throw them half the time.  You can sure tune em up...  I've added the Stike King Elite recently.  It's eating into the Lunkerlures time...

I'm not a fan of the clacker, however, Strike King used to make one like the Boogerman that I used to love.  Bend the wire down just enough to make the blade tick the head and hold on...  I'll be ordering some of those in a few minutes....

I have better luck in the fall with the clacker.

Jimmie, once they exert the energy on the buzzbait and miss it, I very seldom catch them on subsequent casts.

+1.  When they expose them selves like that, I feel they usually bolt.
