Has anyone ever made their own cranks?

I have been wood working my entire life, and am going to give it a shot.

I will try to post a few pics along the way to show my progress.    First ones are going to be similar to a bagley's

Well i roughed out two blanks last night.  First one took about an hour  second one took all of about 10 minutes.

Haven't really read up too much on it yet, but I did make them in halves so I can use a through body wire to connect the  line tye and all the hooks together.

Not sure yet if I want to use lexan or computer chip  for the lip yet.
and also contemplating an internal weight

I will try to get a couple of pictures tonight of them.

Id love to see them.  Always wondered how much time and precision it would take to make some of these.

I am not a fan of wooden lures, they get beat up too easy

Sorry for the delay guys.  Acutally still trying to decide on what to use for the bill material.  Would like to get computer chip material but will probably end up with Lexan.
