You see more guys walking down the bank at the park playing frisbee golf, than you see bass boats in 2 days.  I think I may have seen 5-6 boats and watched about 12 guys playing frisbee golf...WTH!!!  Can't wait for the Open in a few weeks..Hope to see a few of you guys there.  Who all is fishing?

I heard there weren't even 13 preregistared non-boaters. If that's true it going to be a small field.

Im out.  Just got refunded Friday.  BASS is a joke.  They wont tell you where you are on the waiting list or anything.  From what I was told on Thursday, they dont even have enough co's to cover priority entries.

That's because they put in who they want. There isn't a list in any order that you registered. One of these days they may find out that they may want to go to lakes that anglers actually want to fish. It's not like the elites where the guys are going no matter what lake it is. Especially for drawing coanglers.

If that first tourney is amistad, falcon, Rayburn etc it's a full field on both sides.

I drew Tucker during that tournament last year.  We were fishing over by one of the frisbee holes first thing in the morning.  Water temp is about 47 ish degrees.  This frisbee comes flying out of the trees and lands in the lake.  This kid walks out of the woods and proceeds to strip down to his undies and wades out to chest level to get his frisbee.  Me and Tucker are just looking at this guy in disbelief.  I tell Tucker that kid has some serious stones to get in the water like that.  Tucker laughs and say's "Had"    Hahahahah

I had to go to Toledo Bend and get some revenge after 2 days up there. I was feeling like less of a man.  I agree that it will be tough, but someone will figure a little something out.  I would be a pretty happy dude if I can scrape a few limits together.  BASS will  have to start going to better lakes at better times, to get the enthusiasm back in the OPENS.  I know there a bunch of guys that backed out this year, because they would rather use their vacation time to go catch fish, instead of being miserable for a couple of days.

....and when you live 20 minutes from the lake and are not even looking forward to the event.  The problems I see is the lake is fishing really small due to the water level and the time of the year.  If they could have scheduled this one later in the year it would have been better for everyone.  The fishing can be good out there at certain times just typically not the first part of Feb.  It's just not an "early" lake.  The good news is that in tough/low weight events you are never out of it.

Yup. One big fish could be a game changer out there.
I don't know why they don't go to Texoma for this time slot. It fishes SO much better in the cold.

Put me in the group of guys looking to get lucky.....a 5 pounder will be huge in this tournament....I'm fishing the Everstart at Amistad the week before Lewisville, so I'll have to be ready to put my grinding hat on....Maybe we will get nice weather at least.

Don't think I could have said it any better. Hell they snatched my 'Link" and never looked back. ALL within an hour of the "ofiical" email cut-off time that very day. My co link said if he would have known that, we could have just sat together and waited to enter.
