We have quite a few new members since this thread was posted so I thought I'd revive it and get their input.

Clubber all the way. After many years of grinding found that it's all about being in the great outdoors and the fellowship. A win still feels good even to an old clubber.

I was a grinder, then I was at least a clubber, now I am a Wisher.
There are so many more trails to fish now days compared to when  I first started and I Wish I was fishing Century Bass, Bass Champs, BASS Weekender, CABA, Media, JC Outdoors, Ignition Bass and any benefit tournament that happened to be going on. I probably even missed a couple of more trails I would like to be fishing but those come to mind and I check out the tournament results each Monday morning to see how everyone is doing.

I guess I would fall into the grinder category. However I have gotten much more involved in running tournaments and the business side of the sport verses fishing. It wasn't my original plan but I am happy with it. I can give back more to the sport in my current role.

Senior cluber fits me pretty well. If the fish did what they were SUPPOSED TO DO, I would be a grinder! LOL!

grinder turned cluber and trying to find a good "in between" spot.  It's hard to hammer it 2 to 3 times a week with a wife and kids.  I've learned over the last year that I enjoy spending time with them much more than I thought and instead of constantly making excuses to get out of the house to fish, now I'm trying to find excuses not to fish as much.  I figure my kids will only be around the house for so long and time is slippin' away so I've throttled it back quite a bit, mainly just fish tournaments and skip the prefishing and BS fishing in between.  Of course, when the winter comes around and the power plant lakes fire up, I'll probably turn into a grinder again  Grin

Between a Club'er and a Grinder.  Used to be more of a Grinder, but the family seems to have more duties than before.  I'll fish about 30 Ts this year, but 1/2 of those will be weeknight Ts.

I am just a hacker.

Been fishing since I was about 5, but didnt get into local tournaments until last year. Fish mostly locally due to family and young kids. I do my own thing and dont adhere to what is supposed to work vs. what doesnt. I love modify and making my own baits.

I am a retired wannabe Pro and now a full time Cluber.  I get in about 50 days a year on the water.  My club fishes all over Texas and we try to go to Falcon, Amistad and Fork every year along with Big Sam and Toledo.  We pick on the power plant lakes in the winter.

I'm clubber, who would like to be a grinder but with a wife and 3 boys ages 5,3, and 1 that just isn't possible. I just can't get enough of fishing but I really enjoy being married and don't want to push the limit if you know what I mean.

Not one that really fits me. I fish pretty much daily weather just down on the dock with the boys or taking the pontoon to a well protected cove. Get to fish some nights with my neighbor. Looking to get back in to a small local club. Grin

Grinder... I love it! Baby on the way so it will be a few more years before I get my chance at the Opens. More time on the water can't hurt though. I see myself fishing the Opens in the next 3 years. Till then its Bass Champs, BLT, BFL, and Jackpotting for me.

I'm a cluber that is aspiring to be a grinder. But that all depends on my ability to find enough Geratol to keep me going & enough testicle fortitude to tell my wife I'm going to be spending more on tournaments than I am now!  Grin

Between clubber and grinder. I only fish one division of Media, a few superteams events, the occasional open and all the fun fishing I can fit in and not find my stuff on the curb when I get home.

Considering I have put on more tournaments this year than I have fished I would say I'm a  clubber.

When I grow up I want to be a grinder!

You missed my category which is "Wishing I was FishingSad

I am currently working in Russia managing the design and construction of a major refinery.  Right now I get my bass fishing fix on fishing forums.  Fishing is a life long commitment for me however there are a few other commitments that seem to get in the way.

In the past I would have to say I was a cluber.

Used to be a grinder 15-20yrs ago, then clubber until the kids came along.  Now I would classify as a weekender but the competitive juices still flow strong when I am able to get out and fish a few opens here and there.......fortunately, my weekends are taken up with youth sports or I would probably be divorced.  Wink
