I guess I would have to change my status.....I used to fish alot of tournaments, but now, I rarely have the chance to fish any more! I run over 30 tournaments a year now, and the only fishing I have done this year has been at the opens, no fun fishing, no local tournaments, no ponds, how did this happen?

Jim,
Sorry I didn't get to speak with you at Cypress Springs. You know us old guys have a hard time when staying up all night. I felt like I was in another world at weigh in. I told Craig that Hammerhead was fishing the tournament and he wanted me to tell you he said Hello.
Good to hear from you Steve Savage.

I live in Laredo. The close proximity of Falcon lake and the relatively mild weather year round allows me to fish just about every weekend of the year. I try to fish every tournament I can... I guess i could be considered a grinder.

Im a work from home dad fishing the Opens, d
Western Divisionals, TBF/BASS Fed qualifiers, Champs and a few weekend deals, and whatever else I can get my hands on.

Guess that makes me a grinder? Huh

Though I dont work a real job and I get paid a little for some of the fishing stuff at least enough to support my habit anyway?   Grin

Hey Everyone,

I would consider myself a clubber. I joined the site a while back but since i started working full time after i got out of college i haevnt fished nearly as much as i want. i am from austin and learning the lakes up in the DFW area for the last year and finally ready to fish a few tournaments this spring. Look forward to being on here more often.

Was a Grinder for years then baseball got in the way (my son). Missed many fishing trips, but never missed a pitch (that he threw or swung at). No regrets.
Now he's in college (elected not to play) and I reckon I'm a weekender. I hear the blast offs from the camp and I miss it sometimes. Guess it gets in your blood. I'll be back.

Clubber, I suppose, but mama has been hinting at wanting to have something come along that would qualify me as a "not at all'er" in the next 9 months or so. I asked her if we could hold off until September or so in order to fish this season of Champs south as well as the 2012 season. Didn't go over well. Now she is cut off.   Smiley

Pro, not because of tournaments but guiding for a living now for 7 years on Ray Roberts.  Wish I could take the time to fish more tournaments.  Keep trying to get the boss to give me more vacation time, but she won't do it Smiley  We have a 3 month old girl, so really will be staying close to home this year.

Glad to be on the forum.

I guess I would be classified as a ex-grinder and a strong clubber now. I own a business and have suffered the economic strain the past 3 years so I had to reduce my fishing to just the Texas Federation Nation and some local tournaments when I can. Being the present president of the Seven Coves Bass Club I have found it to be like a second job with over 50 members and growing. I visit several forums every day gathering helpful information about what is going on in our state to pass on to the clubbies. I guess it would be called arm chair fishing.
