Thought it might be fun to see how everyone would label themselves.  Tell us what category you think you fall in.

Weekender:  You love to fish but you're time on the water is limited.  You may or may not have a boat.  You may hop a pond or two now and then and you try to fish every chance you can.  You make a handful of tourneys each year but nothing too competitive.

Cluber: You get out to the lake on a regular basis.  You may or may not have a boat.  You fish a local tourney or two and you belong to a local bass club.  You consider yourself to be a decent angler but not too competitive.

Grinder:  You fish just about anytime you can.  If there's a trail somewhere you're fishing it and you're chasing a check pretty much every weekend.  You more than likely own your own boat and you'd have to admit you're an addict.  If you didn't have to make a "real" living you'd probably be on the water every day.

Pro:  You fish elite tournament events (BASS, FLW, PAA) and consider yourself a full time angler or you're a full time guide who makes their living on the water.

I'm a weekender.

Im somewhere between a cluber and a Grinder.  I have finished outside the money a few times this year and won a few times this year, but have consistently placed in or around it.

I'm a Club'er, but more relaxed about it than I used to be.  If I catch fish I am happy.  Where I place is only a matter of how well I did competing against the fish, rather than against the rest of the field.

I am a grinder.  Balancing that with family time now.  I do not have a desire to be a pro.  I like my full time job.

I used to be a Grinder, even spent some time fishing Pro, 'till a few years ago when our business exploded. I get to do lots of bait testing, but my goofing off (aka non-business) fishing is done mostly during the hot summer months when business is slower. Every year I tell myself that I'm going to do a local Wednesday evening series just to get away for a bit, but every year I still don't have the time! I do deal with fishing all day every day which helps. I have a competitive streak and really miss tournament fishing at times, but I've been able to direct that energy into the bait company.

Grinder.

The last few years have been a balance of fishing and family.  Now my daughter's to an age my wife and I agreed on.  I think next year I will start trying to step it up a bit, and fish the Opens and PAA events.
And just see where it takes me.

I'd have to say I'm somewhere in between a clubber and a grinder.  I do not have as much time as I would like to fish, and sometimes the money to do it can be scarce.  I gotta quit donating so much, lol.

I guess I would consider myself as a "grinder", however I seem to facilitate more tournaments as a director verses fishing them.

Guess I'm a club'er. I fish with Denton County and a few other tournaments when I can. I'm competitive but, wish I had more time on the water. My family and work come before fishing.

I've reverted back to a weekender. Working 6 days a week will do that to you. But I try to take enough time off in the fall and winter to get my annual days on the water count back up to a respectable number.

There is a catagory that needs to be added: Spare  that would be me!

I was a grinder at one time but with family and finances now I just fish Hubbard every chance I can and 1 tournament a month.

I like to fish as many different lakes as time allows a year.  I just love fishing. I would fish every type of fishing tournament out there if I had time.

Grinder by heart. If I could I would fish every day but with a family I have to tone it down some now & then. My thing is I hate to donate but I love to win. I love to fish against people who fish to win because it makes me up my game & thats my deal always trying to get better & learn something new.

I guess I am a grinder until I have burned through all my yearly vacation by mid-March, then the rest of the year, a clubber.
