I see that Ryan Green name near the top. He and his daddy are gonna be tough on Falcon. Sure Hope Jerry's job keeps him too busy to prefish in Dec.  Grin

Stephen,
You would be correct about the Big Bass event. We had 21 enter the Sunday event. At $180 an entry x 21 entries we collected just $3780. However we paid all the hourly cash winners for 1st and 2ND ($5600) and those who place 3rd through 5Th each hour received their sponsor prizes. We took $2100 out of our personal pockets and paid the overall big bass winner $2100 in cash and prizes. So, we had $3780 paid in and we paid out well over $10,000 plus expenses.

BLT does not cancel events do to low attendance. If one person shows up, one person gets paid. I wish we could have paid the winner more money. Our guarantee big bass payout began at 100 entries for $10,000. So we paid the winner a percentage of the guarantee at 100 entries or 21% ($2100).

We believe the anglers in the Breckenridge area would like to have a Big Bass event on Hubbard Creek and we simply did not pick  a good time to provide one. However, we will be scheduling our second annual Big Bass event in 2011 after we speak with John Stoker/Sandy Creek Marina and the anglers who choose to fish with us.

I wish you would have been able to join us--------maybe next time.

On a brighter note, we had a super turn out for the Breckenridge fall team Division and we are really looking forward to returning in October. This division will have an opportunity to qualify for two Championship tournaments where we guarantee one Legend boat and a $10,000 cash prize in the other. If the anglers rank in the top 50% in either of the Region Championships we guarantee another Legend boat in the State Championship. Not bad for entering 4 of five tournaments.

Hubbard Creek is a super fishery and you are lucky to have it in your back yard.

Thanks,
BLT staff

Mark,
Thanks for the thought. The person I feel for the most is our winner. He was hoping for the big turnout as well.

With all the chatter about Hubbard Creek it seems a bit odd that the Big Bass #'s would be down. I see where it is a grass lake and that usually is enough to keep the lake busy. I was thinking of a much different reply when i initially made the post. I anticipate the real Hubbard to draw very well for you. see you there.

"the real Hubbard"      Seriously??

RH couldn't hold HC Jock-Strap.  Hell Stinky couldn't hold HC jock and he gets off on things like that!

Yes, the turn out was pretty minimal.    I think if they get the word out in the Abliene market it will become as big and bigger than the old KEAN tournaments that we had out there.  300+ entries.
