This time last year when the Fishing, Hunting and Outdoors show finally died, this show was what I had in mind. I'm really happy that everyone enjoyed it. It was a ton of work and I can't tell you how nervous I was leading up to the show and even the first day of the show. There were only about a half dozen things that came up in the weeks leading up to the show that I thought were going to ruin it but thanks to Monte Reagan and Rick Wallace we pulled it off. I want to emphasize the thanks to those two guys because without the work they put in this wasn't going to be possible. I had no clue how much work was going to be involved with this from recruiting vendors, finding sponsor money to make it free to vendors and the public, advertising, floor planning and scheduling seminars... it was insane. I'd also like to thank Monte Coon at Moritz Chevrolet for offering a ton of help with sponsorship and advertising advice, Jeff Welsh at Bass Champs for offering a lot of advice from someone that's been through planning similar events and Jeff Gilbert for trusting us to get this thing done and let us have it. If this had gone bad it would have been a huge waste of time and money but Jeff let us go do our thing and never questioned it.
The biggest thanks goes to everyone that came out, without the vendors, pros and most importantly people who got in their cars and came out to enjoy it this wouldn't have been possible. With the giant, happy crowds we had this will only get bigger and better as the years go on thanks to the sponsors who now know this show is for real. DFW is one of, if not THE biggest bass fishing market in America and it deserves the biggest and best boat and tackle show. As long as you all keep coming out, we promise to keep bringing you that kind of show.
