WHat do you guys think?  I think these pros that are raising such hell about the A-Rig are the ones that get royalties on other baits.  I guess they think the Rig will be all that is thrown this year.  I think it is a stupid debate

I agree that it is stupid.  It's just another bait.  Not magical, just another one.  If the state does not state that it is illegal, then a tournament director should have no say int he matter.  Those that make it their business, like ban it, in my opinion, are stooping to a level they have no business stooping.

For pros that get on the 'ban' wagon, that is just one less ounce of respect I have for them.

And I haven't even thrown one yet.

I agree with Mike's points on the guys saying ban it.  However, I'm still on the fence overall.  I'd like to see it used over the course of this year and see all the information that comes out from it.  It could be one of those genie in a bottle deals where who knows where it will lead.  On the other hand it may just be another flash in the pan.  It's still too early to tell.

Its a bait that I wish never happend but I will embrace it and learn it so I can use it to compete if needed.  I agree 100% on if its legal in a given state the fine. There are those that are saying "well live bait is legal too" , true statement but if a TD allowed live bait well then I wouldn't fish his stuff.

I agree this is stupid, but one thing I did agree its a door opener for other baits, what's gonna stop me from throwing my 32 baits crankbaits on 1 line... and  by the way its called the chandelier bait.    If a fish even looks at it they will be hooked.  Where will it end?  So I would support a ruling on the number of hooks tied to one line.

I am on the fence with this. I have thrown the umbrella rig back when I live in NY and use to saltwater fish. But one point that keeps coming up. If it's legal in the State then it should be legal in tournaments. Well Like Chris said "Live bait" is legal in the state but not in tournaments..... Should we make Live Bait legal for those that think the same way for the A-Rig?

There are going to be people that whine about every new piece of technology or out of the box rig that comes out because they didn't think of it first. I used to get people complaining when they saw me throw a drop shot with shaky head for the weight, now it's pretty common. As long as everyone has access to it, what's the big deal? The people that cry about hooking fish in the side or anywhere outside the mouth apparently never throw a three treble jerk bait or a big deep diver or a spook. I'm not saying it's open season and break out the crank phones, but imitating a school of bait fish isn't the biggest con we put on fish.

Bought my first one the other day (I instantaneously felt like my game stepped up, jk) Anyways, it looks good on my rear view mirror.....cant stand the thought of loosing $45

I agree, make it legal.  If its legal, everyone has the right to use it or learn to use. If its illegal, its one more follow-up that cheaters will need.

Spinnerbait is more effective than the A rig Let's start by banning the ones that actually catch the most fish and not the ones that might. no spinnerbait fishing for all trails starting today.

The pros that bitch about it are just worried that it opens pandoras bx. What if KVD finds a way to down rig several crank baits LOL god help them. No really if its leagal and works then  great . No one is preventing them from useing it yet so embrace it . You still have to put it in front of quality fish and catch them and thats what its all about . Whats changed there?
