I went ahead and paid for the Advance Cast for all the events early online.  $17 bucks.  Pay Per View for fishing?  Who would have ever thought?

I was reading about the pay per view deal yesterday.  At first I was little aggrevated by the charge.   Just seemed unaligned with the MLF goal of getting you close to the angler.  It's a great business idea, but not sure I am bought in to yet.  On the other hand, I guess its no different than paying for a package on Dish or whoever.....I am sure I will find a way to test a few episodes for value.  

I like it and will probably buy it.

I'm considering it as well. Sounds like they may show a few things that the "sponcers" don't want on the Outdoor Channel.

That's a different PPV channel and more expensive.

The Ike scenes on the second episode were unbelievable.  That guy is such a dork and a complete spazz.  They used shorter boats and he fell in his observers lap numerous times.

Or how about when Marty Stone was interviewing him during the second break and it was basically a constant "bleep" because he was so mad...

He's made for TV.  You can't help but want the camera on him. 

Ike is a "pro staffer" made good.

I am not a fan Greg but I must say that surprises me.  I have met Mike and watched Mike interact with young & old alike, and he always has come across well in that setting.   If you like the writings of Don Barone (db), you should check out his latest post on Mike, I believe it was dated 2/20/12.  That story I truly do believe is more represenative of his character, I just simply do not care for what I believe to be his "Marketing Character".                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    Simply my 2 cents worth, this too you may dislike ?

Red, I agree with you completely.  I think Ike has a "camera" personality and an "off-air" personality.  At the Kyle Bush event on Lewisville he was not overly personable for lack of better terms.  Granted, Swindle and Scroggins were extremely out going and made themselves very accessible to everyone there and that made Ike look pretty quiet.  Ike is a marketing machine, no question about that. It works for him and that's all that matters.  

Plus I can't stand anyone that runs and trips around the boat screaming "GIANT" for a 2 lber.  Lol.  

He is completley different in person that he portrays on tv, which alone, kind of bugs me.  However, cut him some slack on the Lewisville deal, he caught one bass and it was just a couple of days after Kieth Combs smacked him in the face by beating him in a fish-off.  Ike also lost a great rod and reel combo, so he could still be mad about that.

I actually would have rather they NOT put a camera in Velvick's boat... Not a fan

I watched it tonight. For anyone that ever doubted KVD... well, just watch.
