The 2012 LSS will have one division here in the North.  The Central division will be going away moving forward.  The TTZ crew did a great job this year and the turnout was incredible.  They have decided to create a new Central trail and keep their championship close to home.  I want to thank Booker, Andy and Robby for their efforts and how well they represented LSS.  We will not be creating another Central series so if anyone wants to join them in the Central they'll be posting all their new information here soon.  I'd highly recommend anyone join them as they pulled 60-70 boats at every event.  You will not be disappointed with their group.

With that being said we have made a few adjustments to the North division that we believe will make it even easier to join LSS in 2012 and to enjoy the trail.

#1 We will still be providing the guaranteed minimum first place payout of $3,000.  To our knowledge we will be the only trail in the North that offers anglers a guaranteed first place payout at the $150 entry point and a 90% base payout.

#2 We are going to shorten the season to three (3) qualifying events and a championship in June.  This should make our trail accessible to a larger number of anglers as you'll only be required to fish 2 of the 3 series events in order to qualify.

#3 We will have a single division championship so anglers won't have to deal with multiple non relevant divisions competing for your championship prize. 1 boat for 1 division.

#4 We will be providing the $2,000 cash AOY payout for 2012.  This is the highest AOY cash payout that we are aware of at the $150 entry point.

Additionally, we have made a few rules changes for 2012 based on angler feedback.

If you are looking for a trail that has strong competetion, no repeat lakes, guaranteed first place payout, shorter season and is at the $150 price point, then we think the decision to fish LSS is an easy one.

Here's the revised schedule for 2012.

North Schedule

March 17th - Lake Ray Roberts
April 7th - Lake Lewisville
May 5th - Lake Tawakoni
June 9th & 10th - Lake Ray Hubbard - LSS Mercury Marine Championship - Grand Prize $20,000 Nitro Z6

PAYOUT SAMPLE 60 TEAMS LESS POLYGRAPH

1ST$3,000 + $400 Oakley Prize Pack  (This will increase over 60 teams)
2ND$1,500
3RD$1,000
4TH$650
5TH$400
6TH$350
7TH$300
8TH$250
9TH$200
10TH$150
TOTAL$8200 C&P + Big Bass $600

Hope to see you next year.  Registration and information at www.lonestarseries.com

Thanks Ronnie.

Booker, please keep everyone posted on the new series.  If you're in the Central and looking for a trail, don't waste another minute looking at options.  Go fish with the TTZ guys.  You'll be glad you did.  Not to mention, they'll probably be pulling close to 100 boats in 2012.

Due to another trail dropping an event right on top of us on Ray Roberts, we have decided to switch the lakes for the first two events to avoid being on the lake at the same time.

We will fish Ray Roberts first in March and the Lewisville in April and this has been reflected in the original post and in the tournament section as well.

We apologize for the change but we were given no courtesy as it relates to this scheduling and this is the best alternative at this point.
