There's been a few questions, so I wanted to make sure that everyone is clear prior to the start of the 2012 season.
1. Yes, we are guaranteeing 1st Place at each event of $3,000. Yes, if we have more than 60 teams enter it will be adjusted upward.
2. Yes, we shortened the series so you'll now only have to fish 2 out of the 3 spring events to qualify for the Championship in June on Ray Hubbard. Grand Prize for Championship is 2012 Nitro Z6 valued at $20,000.
3. Yes, the AOY is cash and will be $2,000 to the winning team.
4. Yes, we switched Ray Roberts and Lewisville due to a scheduling conflict with another trail.
5. HydroWave has joined as a sponsor and the Big Bass winner at each event will receive a HydroWave unit in addition to the Big Bass cash.
Here's a sample payout at 60 teams: 90% Base Payout.
1ST$3,000 + $400 Oakley Prize Pack (This will increase over 60 teams) 2ND$1,500 3RD$1,000 4TH$650 5TH$400 6TH$350 7TH$300 8TH$250 9TH$200 10TH$150
TOTAL$8200 C&P + Big Bass $600 + $429 HydroWave
Big Bass Winner will also take home a HydroWave in addtion to the cash.!!! That's a $429.95 Competitive Angling Package from our sponsor.
You can search high and low at the $150 team entry price point and you will not find a better payout period. We hope to see you on Ray Roberts in March.
There's a scenario where the winning team (if they won big bass as well) would take home over $4,430 in cash and prizes.

I made this pitch on the TFF so I thought I'd post it here too. Here's some insight/feedback for those of you in the Metroplex who may be on the fence. We realize that Ray Hubbard is overlooked but here's some things to consider as your looking at this series. #1. You won't fish another championship all year regardless of the trail you choose that's fishing for a $20,000 grand prize with less boats competing in the Championship. Last year over 80 teams were qualified to complete in the Championship on Sam Rayburn and 43 teams competed for the boat. If you can find another trail where you had a 1/43 chance of winning a $20,000 grand prize then let me know and I'll recant this line item. #2 If you live in the Metroplex you can sleep in your own bed and have no travel or lodging costs related to this Championship. #3 If you live in the Metroplex you have plenty of time to get familiar with Ray Hubbard between now and June to find a way to compete. #4 It's a two day event so that levels the playing field even further for the teams competing. Additionally, the off limits and pre-practice are as fair as they can get. #5 There aren't many lakes in the Metroplex or Texas for matter that have the ability to throw out a 25-30lb stringer each day and Ray Hubbard can. Who wouldn't want to fish a Championship with that kind of opportunity? #6 The lake can produce fish in multiple areas; river, rip rap, docks etc. So multiple skill sets can be competitive on the lake. This has been proven in every major tournament held on this lake. #7 With Bass Pro Shops as the host location there's no better facility for hosting a Championship event anywhere. Families will be able to enjoy the weigh in and the anglers will have any amenity needed right there at their disposal. There's our pitch. I'm sure almost anyone reading this thread can find something to complain about but we think this is a solid choice for Championship location and fishery.
