With all the cold rain and Lewisville on the rise, the fishing should be great for the Bass Open!!! I sure hope they have enough fish even caught to pay 40 spots. Bass is about to redefine what a SUCKHOLE is. Grin Grin

Well, believe it or not, I have experienced better than average fishing when the fishery is flooding.  Hopefully some of the anglers also find that out.

But the first week of February?  I can believe that in April or May but not February with 50 degree muddy water temps.

Ive seen the lake fish great when flooded, but not when super muddy and cold.  It'll be tough

Wonder if they will let us have a foot race for the last money spot, if only 39 people catch a fish.  I better get on the treadmill this evening.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that thinks this way.  Someone will probably make me feel really dumb when they weigh in 45 lbs for three days again.

Well I'm just hoping I can be out there trying to catch 1 by then. Laid up in the hospital now after having my ruptured appendix removed yesterday. Might be a little sore to take a ride across the lake like me and Brady did on day 1 and his trolling motor bolts snapped off and hit me!

I'm going to feel dumb if someone catches 30lbs.  Just trying to prepare myself mentally for a "grinder".  We better capitalize on every opportunity.

I was kinda having buyers remorse for signing up and had been on the list.. Had my fingers crossed that theyd send me my deposit back... Well they called today and Im in.. Gonna be interesting.. On a lighter note.. I heard that there was a certain "Pro" that got stuck out in the mouth of pecan the other day and had to strip down to "panties" to get unstuck.. lol

The fish will bite and it will be a great event! Lewisville is awesome in cold, muddy water while fishing during a wind storm taking turns throwing at the three rocks that had fish on them.  You guys fishing are so lucky!! Roll Eyes

I got stuck in the mouth of Pecan the other day, but I go Commando so stripping down was NOT an option.  For every inch I sunk in the mud while pushing, my cajones drew up an inch.  Things were so drawn up from the fear of hitting that cold water, it was late Sunday afternoon before I could piss without spraying everywhere.

Tougher the better.......that gives us weaker fisherman at least a better chance to get lucky.  Nothing like going into a BASS event with luck weighing heavily on your shoulders.

I predict winning weight will be better than last year.  48-50lbs in Feb ain't too shabby.  OK, I give up trying to convince myself.  Yes, me too........I still hate this lake!!

Moreland put down the crack pipe!  Lewisville and Tawakoni should never be used in the same sentence! No matter how much time you spend on Lewisville, it's ony a fair bass fishery at its very best.

Perfect response. Tawakoni has more 3 pounders in one cove than Lewisville has in the lake!

Took 45 lbs to win last year, with the exception of Combs on Tawakoni 2 years ago, in much more favorable conditions, weights look pretty much the same.

If its that much of a beating, stay home.  Grin

And it took 28.80 (ONE DAY!!!! )to win the LSS on Tawakoni in December. No fisherman in North Texas will agree with you on this one.
