I feel you Tom, BUT.....fish care, heat, and a lake full of yahoo's is why we start early and end early in the summer! Ever try pulling your boat off a lake full of yahoo's around 4:00pm on a summer weekend? CHAOS!

We actually did Sunday at Lewisville at the Tower Bay ramp at 1:30. It was kind of funny watching the guy try and jack knife his trailer on the ramp.  Grin

Well looks like this one will be lots of fun...we left the door wide open for AOY for two teams after Sunday. Looks like if we were to not upgrade at all Panell/Fulton could tie us with 3rd and win it with second or first...and Adams/Haggard could tie us with second and win with 1st. So the stage is set and it should be a shootout. Looking foward to it. And Josh can your hot streak hold off until after the next tourney? lol I kind of hope it comes down to the championship in Oct...two days...two lakes...and crown the champs at the end...would make it really fun and by Oct both lakes should be on fire.

Another look at the AOY breakdown:

Dillard/Ward = Wins AOY with a 3rd place or higher finish

Adams/Haggard = Must win 1st and Dillard/Ward must finish in 6th place or less and Panell/Moreland must finish 3rd or less

Panell/Moreland = 1st Place and Dillard/Ward 5th place or less
= 2nd Place and Dillard/Ward must finish in 6th place or less and               Adams/Haggard finish 3rd or less

I hope I got it all right, anyway its going to be fun to see how this plays out. Congrats to all in the running. You all deserve to win. Great group of guys/gals on this series. I have truly learned a lot from you all.

Josh those fish know you are stalking them...they are just waiting for the day before the tourney to move to the other side of the lake...you will know they are gone when you see the restraining order floating on the top! LOL Trust me it happened to us on Sunday...had located a big school of BIG fish the weekend before the tourney...had about 18 pounds in about an hour and thought ok lets go home...no reason for them to move we know where we are starting. Come Sunday I guess they took a vacation or something...NOTHING! This time of year if the baitfish move the fish move...with that being said we will be out there this weekend with side imaging covering every inch of that mudhole hoping to locate those fish you are talking about and sore lip every last one of them!  Cool

I take offense!!  I always treat my ladies good!  I dont set the world on fire when I hook em, I always fight them gentle and never horse or pull them around, I always take care of them and put em right back, and I ALWAYS give them a Kiss Goodbye and tell them I will see them later!!!  Now why the hell would that put a restraining order on me??!?!?!?!?!?

Oh Ya. . . Lewisville Sucks Big Monkey Balls and Grapevine is Way Better Always Everyday!!!

LMAO! Good stuff man...good stuff! Lewisville is just a challenging lake because it is like having 3 lakes in one...you got the new lake, old lake, and 121 side and at any given time they can all fish differently. I actually grew up on G vine as a kid and really considered it my home lake before I learned Lew...just don't spend the time out there I use to. It does have some good fish in it but it is still a mudhole! I think it is just the slot out there that kills me...a guy can go out and catch 20 pounds of slot fish and get beat by a guy with 5 dinks. Kind of doesnt prove who is a better fisherman that day to me...IMO.

And no wonder all the fish in the Vine have all that fungus crap growing on there lips...you should lay off kissing those fish till you get that checked buddy!  Grin

Touche!!  I hear ya on the slot brother and partially agree!!  But the fish have never been this good!!  I remember growing up and a 5 was a freakin pig out of that like 20 yrs ago!  The past 15 yrs or so the fish have really been on the rise as far as the size of fish!  But it is annoying going out and having three 17 1/2in fish with some chub 16's!

As far as my lip problem!!  I have cream for it bro and u were supposed to go public with that shit!! i thought your mom told you not to tell everyone seeing how i got it from her!! OHHHHHHHHH SNAP!!!   Grin Grin Grin Grin

The mom jokes are old and played out...kind of like your mom! That is if you have one...at first glance you could have easily been created by your partner Mike doing the nasty with Shrek. But don't worry bro that is what they have DNA tests for.

If the cold front continues, it could bring bass sallow and turn on the bite! I am loving the reduced temperatures!

13 w 2 overs won
9.09 w 1 over 2nd
8.08 w 1 over 3rd
8.01 w 1 over 4th!

Nobody caught fish all night!  Some didn't have a limit!  kind of a normal night I think so who knows!!

I'll guess 17.41 wins!

The water temp on the Vine has dropped over six degrees, the bite is turning on and I am expecting some fat sacks on Sunday! Can't wait to get this party started! I'll be out on the Vine on Saturday getting some fun fishing in, look for me out on the water if you go out!

we got 4th with 8.01!  had a 21 1/2in fish!  A 6 .5lb body that weighed like 4.20!  Its all good!  I'm not wearing my stuff out yet!  Waiting til sunday and yes the lake did drop 4 degrees but that will change!  The night bite has been good. . . the morning bite has been ehhhh!!  I still think it will be around 17-19!  I'm stickin with my 17.41!

And My Mommy is a wonderful lady and she tried her best!!  But sometimes as a kid you gotta learn the hard way!  I in no way shape or form blame my Mamma for the Dick Head that I've become!  And I've been finding out that some of the Vine Top Guys aren't fishing this weekend so it might be tough to pull this off!! I was hoping the donaldsons and some other guys would be out there to drop Dillard off out of 6th or worse so Mike and I could jump in a get em!  We'll See. . . I'm still bringing my A+++++

Mark and I have been planning a late season run. We had a rough year, but you cant count us out during the late summer. This time of year seems to bring out our best. We may still be learning from you so called masters, but a quote from the great Darth Vadar comes to mind, "I was once the learner but now I am the master.". LOL....

All kidding aside Mark and I expect to spoil somebody's day. See you guys there.  Grin

Adams Killed his lower unit and cant afford to fix it!  Hell he's fished the last 2 tournaments out of someone elses boat included two 2nd place finishes and still gets the points as the boater so I'm not sure how that works!  But nathan Fields is on champlain and scott wont allow him to fish with just the trollin motor!!  He killed a couple fish last time b/c he doesn't know how to run his wells properly!

I'm just geared up and ready to roll!!  Hope we go out and get on em!  But either way its been a great year!  The first time I've ever fished a tournament trail and to even be in the points race with some GREAT Fisherman is an honor!  Best of luck to everyone BUT DILLARD!!  I wouldn't wish someone getting hurt or bad dosho on anyone but I wouldn't fell bad for ya Dillard if u ate some bad mex food fri night and had the stomack chunks and runs all weekend long!! hahaa

Haha...I will be sure to stay away from the mexican food! It has been a great year for sure...just hope next year we can get about ten more teams commited to this trail. I like the fact that we dont have to travel far...my daughter just turned one so it is hard for me to travel right now but I still like to compete. Scott is one of the best TDs I have come across and runs a top notch event every time. He puts in a lot of work for us anglers and we should all be very thankful to have a guy with the passion for the sport that he has running this trail. Cant wait for Sunday...bottom line is we all get to go fishing!
